Three Pekin Insurance employees recently participated in the Drive for Miracles Radiothon held at Children’s Hospital of Illinois and broadcast on 93.3 FM radio station, both located in Peoria, Illinois. The broadcast raised awareness of the event which was held in the main lobby of the hospital on December 9 and 10, 2015.  Megan Daxenbichler, Human Resources Generalist I; Kim Frederking, Life Claim Business Analyst I; and Emily Rieker, Accountant, worked the phone bank, fielding incoming calls from those making pledges.  They also contacted past contributors to ask for their renewed support. The annual radiothon draws attention to the need for hospitals that are dedicated to children’s health issues.  During the two-day event, participants became acquainted with parents and their children of all ages as they visited the hospital for doctor’s appointments, clinical services, and tests.  Corporate Giving Officer at OSF Healthcare Foundation Erin Peterson commended the volunteers, organizers, and donors, stating, “Thank you, on behalf of all of the children and their parents, as well as our doctors and staff, for the work you do to support their efforts.  We truly are blessed to have you as a partner.
