Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day

Every March, Women’s History Month celebrates the impact of women on history and society. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY takes place on March 8, and it honors the social, cultural, economic, and political achievements of women. This day has been celebrated internationally for over a century, and it spreads awareness while acting as a call to action for women’s rights.

Our D&I committee celebrated Women's History Month with a social media campaign highlighting women who make a difference in our organization.

More Events and Activities

The celebration of Women’s History Month is just one way the D&I committee creates events and campaigns to promote a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

Here’s a look at other events the committee has promoted:

• In February, we honored Black History Month with trivia and a poster gallery displaying African American scientists, artists, and leaders.
  
  
• In June, we'll celebrate Pride Month with an image campaign representing what different types of families look like. There will also be a special cafeteria “buddy” table to serve as a consistent place for individuals to network and meet new people.
