Lunch Hour Options at Pekin Insurance

When lunch hour rolls around, your rumbling stomach wants more than the same old choices. That’s why you’ll love what’s on our menu!
Pekin Insurance has a great onsite CAFÉ offering a variety of low-cost meals. We also provide several alternative options for employees to switch up how they spend their lunch hour.
It’s about much more than filling your belly, though. These meal choices give you a chance to support local businesses and charities.
Food Trucks
From late May to mid-September, local food trucks visit our Home Office and Parkway buildings during lunch hours and afternoon breaks. Employees chow down on pizza, nachos, shaved ice, and more!

- Healthy in a Hurry
- Kona Ice
- Mike’s Knot Just Ribs
- Papa Murphy’s Pizza
- Spirit of America
Brown-Bag-Its
Brown-Bag-Its happen in the spring, summer, and fall, and all employees are welcome to attend. Here’s how Brown-Bag-Its work:
- The departmental host chooses a charity to support and gather donations for.
- That department provides free food for employees at the L. Keith Holloway Lodge that sits behind our Home Office.
- Employees donate money and/or supplies to the charity of choice during the Brown-Bag-It.
The I.T. Department recently hosted a Brown-Bag-It to gather donations for the City of Pekin Police Department’s K-9 Unit.
In the past, we have hosted Brown-Bag-Its to raise money for:
- Center for Prevention of Abuse
- Susan G. Komen
- Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS)
- United Way
More Than Food
