Q: Does Pekin Life Insurance Company offer a simplified issue type plan to cover my funeral expenses?

A: Yes, we offer a Simplified Issue Whole Life insurance policy issued from $2,000 – $50,000. It is a fully guaranteed traditional whole life insurance policy with three premium options. Simplified underwriting does not require any type of medical exam. We approve your coverage based on your answers to health questions on a short-form application. Pekin Life Insurance Company also offers a variety of products through our funeral home partners designed to meet your funeral preplanning needs.

Q: Does Pekin Life Insurance Company offer any type of long-term care coverage?

A: Yes, we offer a Long Term Care Rider that can be purchased as part of our Universal Life Insurance policy. This benefit allows the insured to select a portion of the death benefit to pay for long-term care expenses, including nursing home, assisted living, adult day care, or home health care costs. When benefits are paid, the death benefits afforded by the policy, cash values, surrender charges, and loans are all reduced proportionate to the benefit paid.

Q: Does Pekin Life Insurance Company offer identity theft protection?

A: Yes, Pekin Life Insurance Company has partnered with Identity Theft 911® for identity protection services.  This value-added benefit is automatically included on all new and existing Pekin Life Insurance Company policies as well as Medicare Supplement, Voluntary Life, and Group Plan Solutions policies, free of charge.
