Pet Lovers! Beware of Too Much Heat for Your Furry Friends!

We still have some hot summer days to come, and it’s good to be reminded about the heat and your family pet. Quick errands can severely injure your pet.

In as little as 15 minutes, your pet can sustain brain damage and even die by being left in the car.

Dogs have only two ways to cool down their bodies. One is through panting, and the other is through the paw pads. The paw pads will sweat helping to cool down their bodies’ internal heat.

It has been determined by many veterinarians that a parked car can easily climb to 100 to 120 degrees in temperature during the day in just minutes. On 90 degree days, the temperature can be as high as 160 in as little as 10 minutes!

While most pet lovers don’t have bad intentions, poor judgment can lead to heartbreak for you and the entire family. Make a conscious effort to make the right choices for you and your furry friend.
