Payment Information

Several payment options are available to our policyholders at no additional charge:
1. Pay Online

For all types of insurance except Annuities.

  • Use a credit card or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted)
  • Or directly from your bank account

2. Pay by Phone via our automated Voice Response System (VRS)

For all types of insurance except Life and Health.

  • Or directly from your bank account

3. Pay by Mail:

  • Print a credit card authorization form.
  • For all types of insurance.
  • Mail your completed authorization form or check with your premium bill stub to our office:

Also, for all types of insurance, our company offers automatic monthly electronic payment of your premium from your bank account. If you are interested in this method, please contact your Pekin Insurance Agency for the necessary authorization form.

ACCOUNT BILLED/UNIPLAN BILLED FAQS

A. UNIPLAN is Pekin Insurance’s monthly account payment plan. We will bill your personal, commercial, and life insurance policies together on one statement, spreading the cost of all your insurance business into monthly installments.
A. Yes. If the cost of your insurance changes, your monthly payments will change. If you make a change to your policy that increases or decreases your insurance premiums, we will adjust any future invoices that have not been billed. This is why it is always best to pay the billed amount even if you know there is a change being made.
A. Yes. Unfortunately, we have additional expenses when accounts are not paid on time and the policies are cancelled for non-payment. It is unfair to our other policyholders to incur these costs. Therefore, if your account cancels excessively in any 12-month period, we will no longer be able to offer you a monthly payment plan. Of greater importance to you is the fact that you will be without insurance coverage for periods during these 12 months, which could prove to be very costly.
A. Of course. If you pay in advance, we will automatically apply it to your future billings when they come due, and you will not receive an invoice until there is an amount due.
A. There are additional costs involved with a monthly billing plan that are not added to the basic cost for your insurance coverage. To compensate, we include a $5 service fee to cover these costs with each monthly billing.
A. Yes. Please contact your agent at any time to make these arrangements.
A. Yes. With our pre-authorized payment plan, you can select your due date and have your bank transfer your payment to us monthly without having to write a check. You can save money by eliminating your monthly service charge and postage, a savings of over $65 per year. Your agent has more information regarding this payment option.
You can also charge your monthly payment to your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit or debit card. With each billing, you will receive a credit card authorization form. If you complete this form and return it to us along with the lower section of your invoice, we will charge your selected credit or debit card. Or you can simply visit our website www.pekininsurance.com and select pay a bill to pay online, or call 1-800-322-0160, Extension 2010, to pay your monthly payment over the phone.
A. We need to allow enough time to send you a bill, process your payment, and provide you with as much notice of cancellation as possible if your payment is late. This way you have less chance of being without coverage. Your agent also collected a down payment when you applied for your new policy. It takes several days for us to process your application, and this payment covers your insurance costs during this time.
A. We will mail a billing notice to you 17 days before the payment is due. When you are mailing your payment, please allow adequate time for your payment to reach us before the due date.
A. Contact your agent at any time for any questions concerning your bill or coverage. Your agent will be happy to assist you with your insurance needs.

PERSONAL INSURANCE FLEXIBLE BILLED FAQS

A. There are additional costs involved with a monthly billing plan that are not added into the basic cost of your insurance coverage. To compensate, we include a $5.00 service fee on monthly installments. To avoid these fees, when your policy renews, we give you the option to PAY IN FULL the entire annual premium. If you choose to pay ahead more than one month but not to PAY IN FULL, a service fee will only be billed when a monthly premium comes due again. Another way to avoid the monthly fee is to sign up for our Recurring Electronic Funds Transfer. You can select your monthly withdrawal date from your checking or savings account. Please contact your Pekin Insurance Agent about this convenient bill plan and avoid monthly service fees all together.
A. To PAY IN FULL, please refer to your monthly invoice for the box which reads Total Amount Due. For more detail on how to pay ahead, please see the backside of your invoice for the Installment Schedule. This schedule shows the current monthly amount due and all future installments.
A. Yes, if the cost of your insurance changes, your monthly payments will change. If you make a change to your policy that increases or decreases your insurance premiums, we will adjust any future installments that have not been billed regardless of whether you paid ahead or not before the change was processed.
A. Payment needs to be processed by 4:00 p.m. Central Time on the due date shown on your monthly invoice. You are at risk of loss of coverage if payment is not received on time.
A. Our Automated Voice Response System, 800-322-0160, Extension 2010, will provide the caller with this information.
A. It is critical to make your insurance payments on time to avoid a potential lapse in coverage. If payment is not received by the due date, a termination notice will be sent indicating whether or not reinstatement is an option. If reinstatement is an option, we will provide a dollar amount and a date by which the money is needed in order to reinstate with or without a lapse in coverage.

Please be aware that you will be charged a late fee or a reinstatement fee if your payment is received late. There are cost ramifications on late payments, and it is unfair to our other policyholders to incur these costs. You will be instructed to contact your Pekin Insurance Agent if reinstatement is not an option.
