Roadside Rescue Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What do I need to do to get Roadside Rescue and how much does it cost?
A. Anyone with a Pekin Insurance personal auto policy qualifies for the Roadside Rescue program. There is no additional cost if you currently have Comprehensive Coverage.
Q. Do I have to pay anything at the time of service?
A. No. As long as you stay within network and within the 10-mile radius of a repair facility, this is a free breakdown service program.
Q. If I travel out of state, does the Roadside Rescue coverage still apply?
A. Yes. Coverage is available in all 50 states and Canada.
Q. What if I notice a flat tire or my vehicle breaks down in my driveway?
A. Yes, you can still use Roadside Rescue! This would be considered a disabled vehicle. If you are not comfortable changing a tire or don’t know how to handle the car breakdown, the Roadside Rescue program can help.
Q. What if I call for help directly instead of calling my claim in through the Call Center toll-free number?
A. If you call the towing provider on your own in a roadside recovery situation, pay the bill, and then submit it to your general insurance agent or company, the amount of coverage we provide is limited. If you call our toll-free roadside assistance number and go through the Roadside Rescue network, there is no dollar limit, as long as you stay within the network.
Q. Is there a preferred location where the Roadside Rescue decal should be placed in an automobile?
A. No. Simply place the decal in any location that is convenient for you. Please note the decal has been printed in reverse so that it can be read from outside the vehicle should you be locked out of your car.
